Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available to provide critical support to students in grades PreK through 5th grade within two elementary schools in the Baltimore area, Maryland. This contract position requires on-site presence, splitting time between Magnolia Elementary (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) and Prospect Mill Elementary (Mondays and Wednesdays). The assignment runs from mid-February through late May 2026, with the potential to extend into Extended School Year services for four weeks in July 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in speech-language therapy services under the supervision of licensed speech-language pathologists.
  • Work directly with students across PreK to 5th grade to support communication development and therapy goals.
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to implement treatment plans effectively.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies, including mandated background checks and credentialing.

Qualifications:

  • Active Maryland professional licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant.
  • Compliance with House Bill 486 requirements, including district background checks and fingerprinting.
  • Experience working in educational settings preferred.
  • Ability to commit to the specified days and hours totaling 37.5 per week.
  • Reliable and professional demeanor suited for a school environment.

Location:

  • Positions are based in two schools within Baltimore area, MD: Magnolia Elementary and Prospect Mill Elementary.
