Location: Indianapolis, IN (Park 100)
Schedule: Monday–Friday,6:00AM-2:45P
Pay Rate: $18–$19/hour (based on experience)
Job Type: Temp-to-HirePosition OverviewBESTAFF has immediate openings for Assembler I positions with a manufacturing company in Indianapolis. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering excellent benefits upon permanent hire.The Assembler I is responsible for assembling mechanical, electrical, and shipping components to meet customer, quality, and engineering specifications. This role also supports quality checks, continuous improvement efforts, and may assist in training other assemblers.What We Offer

Key Responsibilities
- Follow blueprints, schematics (electrical/pneumatic), work instructions, and verbal directions
- Assemble mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and team members on projects
- Inspect parts for quality, finish, and accuracy
- Perform testing and assist with quality checks of assemblies
- Assemble crates and packaging materials
- Plan and organize assembly processes and workflows
- Operate equipment such as drill presses, band saws, cut-off saws, and hand tools
- Troubleshoot assembly/design issues and suggest improvements
- Participate in Lean/Operational Excellence initiatives
- Assist in training less experienced assemblers when needed
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace (5S standards)
- Follow all plant and corporate safety policies
- Operate forklifts and other equipment as needed
- Support other departments or tasks based on business needs
- Assist Technical Support Specialists when required
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3–5 years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
Basic Skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Experience using measurement tools
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic)
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to assemble complex mechanical/electrical systems
Preferred Skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Understanding of electronics
- Familiarity with pneumatics
