RPh on The Go is currently hiring a licensed Pharmacy Technician for a 12-week contract position with a leading Long Term Care (LTC) pharmacy. This role offers a stable schedule in a professional pharmacy setting, ideal for experienced LTC technicians seeking a rewarding assignment.

Duration: 12 weeks
Schedule:
Monday Friday, 9:00 AM 6:00 PM
Possible Saturdays: 8:30 AM 5:00 PM

Position Overview:
The Pharmacy Technician will assist pharmacists in processing, preparing, and distributing medications to long-term care facilities while maintaining compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
Accurately prepare and package prescription medications for delivery
Process and enter medication orders into the pharmacy system
Perform medication fills for cycle fills, first doses, and emergency orders
Restock and maintain automated dispensing systems
Manage inventory, monitor medication stock levels, and assist with ordering supplies
Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of all medications
Communicate with nursing staff, facilities, and internal teams to resolve medication-related inquiries
Maintain compliance with HIPAA, state, and federal regulations
Follow all company policies including safety, attendance, and dress code standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Candidate Requirements:
Active North Carolina Pharmacy Technician license
Recent pharmacy technician experience (current or recent within the past year)
Prior Long Term Care pharmacy experience required
