Job Description

Job Description

Our client is offering an exceptional opportunity for an Energy Policy Advisor to join their Lobbying & Public Policy practice. The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in energy policy and legislation. Prior experience on Capitol Hill, particularly within congressional committees related to energy policy, is highly desirable. Experience within an executive branch agency relevant to energy policy can also be considered instead of Capitol Hill experience.

Our Lobbying & Public Policy practice is a leading entity that operates within a full-service law firm, combining top-tier lobbying with comprehensive legal services. Our bipartisan team advocates for clients at the federal level across legislative, policy, and regulatory matters, specializing in areas such as national security, defense policy, and supply chain domestication. Leveraging extensive experience from the private sector, military, and both legislative and executive branches of government, our team expertly briefs department officials and congressional leaders on how client solutions align with national security goals. We are adept at navigating the defense budgeting, appropriations, and authorization processes, and we provide robust support in managing national security regulatory frameworks and securing necessary business authorizations globally.

RequirementsA minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for candidates holding advanced degrees (JD or Master's). The successful candidate will possess excellent academic credentials and demonstrate superior written and verbal communication skills. The candidate needs to embody the core values of the firm: future-focused, diversity-minded, dedicated to excellence, service-oriented, and collaborative.
