Dallas Market Center is seeking a Carpenter to join our team! You will maintain all facilities to ensure an operable and safe complex and service all exhibitors and buyers in a friendly and professional manner. Must be flexible in work schedule to allow for markets, special events and emergencies that require occasional overtime and weekends as needed.
Position Description:
- Maintains DMC complex; builds drywall, cabinets, counter tops, etc.;
- Patches and repairs brick or cinder block as necessary
- Effectively repairs and/or installs suspended ceilings
- Replaces glass fronts of showrooms accurately
- Maintains clean and orderly work areas; minimizes disruption to operations
- Works safely while meeting the physical demands of the position
- Adheres to OSHA regulated policies and procedures
- Other related duties as assigned
- Must have valid, active Driver License with no restrictions
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Experience:
- 5 years of carpentry experience
- Build and install laminate counter tops
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 70 lbs; will lift/carry 40lbs on a frequent basis
- Extensive walking and standing
- Work outside in the elements up to 25% of the time
