Housekeeping Supervisor
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a motivated and organized Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily housekeeping operations and ensure guest rooms and public areas meet the highest cleanliness and quality standards.
Position Summary
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising the housekeeping team and ensuring all guest rooms, corridors, and public areas are cleaned and maintained according to hotel standards. This role requires strong communication, organization, and leadership skills, along with the ability to coordinate with multiple departments including Front Desk and Maintenance.
Experience in hospitality is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn and follow our hotel’s housekeeping Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the daily activities of housekeeping staff
- Assign rooms and tasks to housekeeping attendants at the beginning of each shift
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to hotel standards
- Conduct room inspections after cleaning and verify readiness for guest arrivals
- Check rooms at guest checkout to ensure proper turnover
- Ensure all housekeeping SOPs and safety procedures are followed
- Communicate room status updates to the Front Desk team using the hotel PMS system
- Coordinate with Maintenance regarding repairs or issues discovered during inspections
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities
- Train new housekeeping staff on hotel procedures and quality standards
- Assist with scheduling and shift coordination as needed
- Maintain a positive and professional working environment for the housekeeping team
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Comfortable using computers and hotel systems (PMS training provided)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards
- Ability to stand, walk, and inspect rooms for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
Preferred (Not Required)
- Prior hotel or housekeeping experience
- Experience supervising staff
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
