Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and 1+ year of Cath Lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A specialized opportunity is available for an experienced Imaging - Cath Lab Tech in Virginia Beach, VA, supporting cardiac catheterization procedures. This contract role requires an RCIS certification and centers on assisting cardiologists and vascular physicians during catheter-based cardiac and vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Support cardiac catheterization lab procedures including angiography, balloon/stenting, TAVR, PFO closures, Watchman, and atherectomy using advanced equipment (balloon pump, Impella, IVUS, iFR/FFR, CSI, RotaPro, laser).
  • Assist with cardiac electrophysiology studies and ablation procedures by preparing equipment, monitoring operations, and collecting diagnostic data.
  • Maintain a radiologically safe laboratory environment while managing lab supplies and supporting accurate billing.
  • Monitor patient conditions, interpret ECGs, calculate drug dosages, administer medications, and respond swiftly under pressure.
  • Collaborate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and medical personnel while adhering to PPE protocols.
  • Participate in call rotations, including weekends, taking at least 14 days of call per month.
  • Perform duties in 3-4 rooms including Cath, Vascular, EP, Hybrid labs with GE and Siemens equipment.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Required: RCIS certification, Vocational/Technical Degree in a related field.
  • Preferred: Bachelors degree in Nursing or specialized Cath Lab Tech training.
  • BLS and ACLS certification mandatory.
  • Mechanical aptitude for operating and maintaining complex electrical equipment.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and position patients safely.

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, with scheduled call coverage.
  • Accepts local candidates (with adjusted pay considerations).
  • No Dysrhythmia exam required.
