Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care to patients requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing support. The PCU RN will assess patient conditions, administer treatments, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and assess patients with complex and acute conditions.
Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced treatments as prescribed.
Operate and monitor specialized equipment, including cardiac monitors.
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the healthcare team to provide coordinated care.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and ongoing care needs.
Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Qualifications:
Active RN license in NC
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
BLS certification, COVID vaccine, TB test
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) credential (Preferred)
Minimum 1 year of PCU nursing experience
