TMB, Inc is seeking candidates for a Sr. Mechanical Engineerto support NAVSEA Acquisition Program Office Engineering Support Services requirements. This position is contingent upon the award of the PMS 406 contract.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct a review and analysis of UxV designs, addressing technical issues that arise during design and construction, and in the development of the future UxV requirements and acquisition documents.
  • Perform engineering analyses of customer mission and performance requirements to define UxV attributes in engineering terms.
  • Perform ship design and construction Contractor and Subcontractor engineering and production analyses to include but not limited to physical progress, design progress and material procurement.
  • Review engineering systems’ technical data, engineering drawings, technical manuals, ILS data, ILS Checklists, and configuration baseline documentation to determine the changes required to update requirements and assist in establishing the new baseline specified by contract, contract specifications, engineering drawings, technical manuals, and specifications.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of professional experience.
  • Mechanical engineering experience related R&D, T&E, and systems acquisition programs. Preferably for Navy shipbuilding and defense systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer License is a plus.
  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • Must possess an active DOD Top Secret security clearance.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to perform frequent internal and external customer interface including regularly scheduled and ad hoc meetings.
  • Ability to travel reasonable distances (up to ½ mile one way) to meet with customers or other company personnel in the execution of job functions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds in order to carry a laptop, notebooks, papers, binders and other tools and equipment required in the execution of job functions.
