We are seeking a detail-oriented Entry-Level Payroll Clerk to join our team. This position is responsible for supporting payroll operations by processing employee time records, maintaining payroll data, and assisting with payroll-related inquiries. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and eager to learn payroll processes and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Review and enter employee time and attendance records.
- Assist with payroll processing and payroll data entry.
- Verify payroll information for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain employee payroll records and confidential information.
- Respond to employee questions regarding pay, deductions, and timekeeping.
- Process payroll-related forms and documentation.
- Assist with filing, recordkeeping, and report preparation.
- Support compliance with company policies and payroll regulations.
- Work closely with Human Resources and Accounting departments.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred.
- Previous office, administrative, customer service, or data entry experience is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn payroll systems and processes.
