The Senior Technology Trainer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality training programs and documentation for a variety of software applications, including proprietary systems and commercial tools. This role focuses on instructor-led training, digital learning solutions, and supporting end-users through effective instructional design and communication.
Key ResponsibilitiesTraining Development & Delivery
- Plan, develop, and deliver instructor-led training sessions for commercial and proprietary software applications
- Design and create engaging learning materials including manuals, guides, and presentations
- Develop video-based and interactive training content
Instructional Design
- Create instructional modules aligned with adult learning principles
- Develop quick reference guides, job aids, and web-based training content
- Ensure training materials are clear, effective, and user-friendly
Project Coordination
- Manage training projects from initiation through completion
- Track progress, timelines, and deliverables to ensure quality and timely execution
- Coordinate with stakeholders and subject matter experts
Communication & Reporting
- Provide regular updates on training plans, progress, and outcomes
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to align training objectives
Support & Continuous Improvement
- Identify user challenges and implement effective training solutions
- Continuously improve training content and delivery methods
- Provide support for adoption of new tools and technologies
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience delivering instructor-led training (in-person and/or virtual)
- Strong background in adult learning methodologies
- Experience creating training content for both commercial and proprietary software
- Proficiency with training development tools such as Camtasia, Articulate 360, Vyond, or similar
- Experience managing training projects end-to-end
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple training initiatives simultaneously
Technical Knowledge
- Microsoft Office tools including Teams, OneNote, SharePoint, and Copilot
- Development of technical documentation (e.g., quick reference guides, job aids, web content)
- Creation of video and interactive training materials
- Troubleshooting user issues and delivering effective solutions
- Customer service best practices when working with stakeholders and SMEs
