As a Site Safety Manager at DN, you will plan and oversee activities of personnel to ensure a safe and healthy work environment across multiple project sites in Hawaii. With safety at our core, we aim to send everyone home safe at the end of each day, it remains our #1 core value. Our Site Safety Manager is a key piece of upholding this core value in daily site operations. You will also work collaboratively to develop, implement, monitor, and manage safety programs, policies, and procedures.
This role will support our growing Hawaii business, in order to do so, you must be based on-site in Hawaii with the ability to travel to projects spread across the Hawaiian Islands. Responsibilities:
- Maintain a positive, pro-active relationship with employees, management, and customers/general contractors to promote a positive safety culture.
- Work closely with Construction Management team, general contractors, and subcontractors to ensure implementation of and compliance with safety policies.
- Actively promote and integrate the "WOW! factor" safety application across project sites to enhance safety practices and cultivate a culture of safety excellence.
- Ensure compliance on jobsite with safety regulations and company policies while providing coaching, mentoring, and training to the construction team to enhance safety awareness and practices.
- Lead safety incident investigations, implement corrective actions, and manage the complete injury cycle, including coordinating with adjusters, managing hotline calls, triage, and assigning nurse case managers.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience working in construction safety OR Bachelors degree in Safety or another related field
- OSHA 30 for Construction
- Strong communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for upholding a culture of safety
- CHST certification preferred
- EM-385 certification preferred
