Job DescriptionTitle: Production Manager - Bakery OperationsLocation: Schaumburg, IL Hire Type: Direct Hire - $115k - $130k + bonus

Job Summary:

• Seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Manager to lead daily operations across multiple production departments within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving performance, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and fostering a culture of accountability and respect.
  
  

Job Duties:

• Direct and coordinate daily production activities to meet goals for safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Maintain production standards and implement cost-effective processes and technology improvements.
• Monitor operating costs, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure strong communication and positive employee relations.
• Identify skill gaps, build team capabilities, and support ongoing training and development.
• Contribute to budgeting, planning, and long-term growth initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and food quality standards (OSHA, FDA, GMP, HACCP).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in food manufacturing.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in a bakery or food production environment.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with a hands-on, results-driven approach.
• Knowledge of GMPs, SOPs, HACCP, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
