Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school district in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Certified and Licensed School Psychologist to support students across elementary, middle, and high school levels. This contract position offers the opportunity to provide critical psychological services in a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to identify students academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and support services to students facing emotional or behavioral challenges
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to guide intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate records and comply with relevant state and federal regulations
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid certification and licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with elementary, middle, and high school students
- Knowledge of state educational policies and psychological assessment tools
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with school staff and families
- Ability to work independently and manage caseloads efficiently
