Job Opportunity – CVPCU Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: June 4, 2026

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 6 weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) per 6-week schedule period; holiday flexibility required; 1:5 patient ratio; no call required

Highlights:

• 40-bed cardiovascular progressive care unit specializing in CV surgery and vascular surgery patients
• Patient population includes open heart surgery (CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR), thoracic procedures, vascular surgeries, and medical cardiology overflow
• Work in a state-of-the-art cardiac tower at an 815-bed regional referral center and Level II trauma facility
• Manage complex cardiac drips, epidurals, chest tubes, and advanced cardiovascular interventions
• Cerner EMR system with Baxter IV pumps and modern equipment
• Opportunity to float to stepdown, medical-surgical, or ER inpatient holding areas for variety

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina RN license or ability to obtain
• Stepdown nursing experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Prior cardiovascular surgery and vascular surgery population experience strongly preferred (open heart, TAVR, lobectomy, AAA repair, fem-pop bypass within the past year)
• CVICU experience preferred
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Ability to manage cardiac drips, epidurals, chest tubes, and tube feedings
