Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Bulldozer Operator to join our team for the Stibnite Mine Development Project in central Idaho. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating various bulldozers, managing multiple grading requirements, and utilizing GPS-based grading controls and software. The Bulldozer Operator will report directly to the Project Foreman.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate bulldozers to perform tasks such as excavation, grading, and earthmoving.
- In addition to bulldozer operation, the employee may be required to operate other types of equipment as needed to support project requirements.
- Interpret project plans and specifications to ensure accurate grading and excavation.
- Utilize GPS-based grading controls and software to achieve precise results.
- Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet project deadlines and objectives.
Scope of Work
The Bulldozer Operator will perform a variety of tasks critical to the Stibnite Mine Development Project, including:
- Topsoil Stripping: Remove and stockpile topsoil to prepare sites for construction or excavation.
- Cut/Fill Grading: Execute precise cut and fill operations to achieve required site elevations and contours.
- Deep Cut Excavations: Perform deep excavations for foundations, pits, or other project features.
- Stockpile Management: Organize and maintain material stockpiles for efficient access and use.
- Road Pioneering: Establish initial road paths in rough terrain to facilitate project access.
- Finished Road Construction: Construct and grade roads to final specifications for durability and functionality.
- Aggregate Borrow Source Stripping: Clear and prepare borrow sites for aggregate extraction.
- Reclamation Grading: Restore disturbed areas to natural contours as part of environmental reclamation efforts.
- Select Clearing and Grubbing: Remove vegetation, stumps, and debris to prepare sites for construction activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of five years of experience operating bulldozers and other grading equipment.
- Proven experience as a bulldozer operator in civil construction projects.
- Proficiency in operating various types of bulldozers.
- Strong understanding of grading techniques and requirements.
- Experience with GPS-based grading controls and software.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Living Arrangements and Shift Schedule
This position is based at the Stibnite Mine Development Project in central Idaho, a remote location. Employees will reside in a camp at the project site during their shifts. The shift schedule is 19 days on and 9 days off, with two of the 19 days being paid travel days. Transportation to and from the project site will be provided by the company for on and off shift rotations. Additionally, all meals will be provided at a catered cafeteria located at the camp, and employees will have access to showers and laundry services.

- The camp is a "dry" camp, meaning the consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited on-site.
- This policy is in place to ensure a safe and productive work environment for all employees.
- Employees are expected to adhere to this policy at all times during their shifts.
Safety and Compliance
The Stibnite Mine Development Project is a job site monitored by both OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration). All employees will receive comprehensive training to obtain the necessary certifications for their specific role, work location, and type of work. This training is part of Iron Woman Mining Services' commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move items up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
