The City of Selma is seeking a Utility Billing Clerk to join our team. The primary responsibility of this position is to support the Utility Billing Department by preparing utility bills and processing payments. Key duties include generating and mailing bills and notices, accepting and recording payments, and maintaining accurate customer account records. This role also provides front-line customer service, which includes greeting visitors, responding to inquiries in person and by phone, offering directions, and researching general account or service information.
Qualifications include: (a) High School Diploma; (b) Two or more years of general office or administrative experience (c) Valid Texas Driver's License
Preferred qualifications: (a) Experience as a clerk or cashier; (b) Bilingual a plus but not required (c) Preferred utility billing experience
