Lead Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Lancaster, PA
We are a developer and manufacturer of system level thermal solutions. For the past 20+ years we've partnered with customers in the Aerospace, Military, Medical, Industrial Products and Government R&D sectors to help them utilize our technology on mission critical applications all the way from spacecraft thermal management to medical surgery temperature control at ranges from -150 to 1,100 degrees Celsius!
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Manufacturing Engineer to oversee and optimize our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in thermal engineering and spacecraft manufacturing, with expertise in SolidWorks and analytical tools like FEA and CFD. This role will be pivotal in driving efficiency, innovation, and quality within our production team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of manufacturing processes for spacecraft components.
- Utilize SolidWorks for modeling and simulation to enhance product designs.
- Conduct thermal analysis and optimization using FEA and CFD methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between design and manufacturing.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and manufacturing staff.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Proficient in SolidWorks and simulation tools such as FEA and CFD.
- Strong understanding of thermal engineering principles and applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
