Bachelor's degree, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years Radiation Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity calls for a skilled Radiation Therapist with experience in radiation therapy and proficiency in operating Varian TrueBeam equipment. Located in Fairbanks, AK, this contract position offers a standard Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., allowing for a consistent work-life balance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of recent Radiation Therapist experience
- Experience working with Varian TrueBeam technology
- Travel assignment experience preferred
- Valid BLS certification and ARRT (T) licensure
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer precise radiation therapy treatments in accordance with physician prescriptions and protocols
- Operate and maintain Varian TrueBeam equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment
- Collaborate with oncology teams to ensure patient comfort and accurate treatment delivery
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain detailed patient treatment records
- Respond to radiation emergencies as on-call duties arise (rare, typically outside normal shifts)
Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m.
- On-call for radiation emergencies as needed
- No weekend or holiday requirements unless necessary
Additional benefits include free housing in one-bedroom units (pet units unavailable). Applicants must reside at least 50 miles outside of Fairbanks and provide two completed supervisory references at submission. All requests for time off should accompany the application.
