Tax Manager - High Net-Worth & Entity Focus
Location: Fully Remote
Salary: $130,000 - $170,000 + Annual Merit Increases & Discretionary Bonus
We are a prominent certified public accounting firm operating across the Midwest and Denver regions. We deliver comprehensive attest, tax, advisory, and consulting services to a diverse clientele, including corporations, family-owned businesses, and high-net-worth individuals. This role offers direct interaction with clients, senior management, and partners across various service lines.
We are looking for a highly capable Tax Manager to work remotely and lead a specialized book of clients. This role is focused on managing the complex tax needs of High Net-Worth Individuals alongside various entity, trust, and estate returns. You will be instrumental in delivering quality tax services, enhancing the firm's reputation, and fostering professional growth.
Your Core Responsibilities
As a Tax Manager, you will be a leader in both client service and internal staff development:
- Technical Review & Preparation: Prepare and meticulously review a wide array of complex tax returns, including individual, partnership, S-corporation, C-corporation, trust, gift, estate, and not-for-profit returns.
- Issue Identification & Research: Research intricate tax issues and legislation, applying professional judgment to identify problems and develop innovative, legally sound solutions for client returns.
- Communication & Collaboration: Clearly identify and communicate complex tax and accounting issues to staff, managers, and partners, ensuring seamless coordination.
- Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain exceptional working relationships with client staff at all levels to add internal value and strengthen client loyalty.
- Staff Development: Actively participate in our mentoring program to mentor, develop, and retain junior tax professionals.
- Firm Growth: Assist with business development and firm marketing initiatives to expand the firm's clientele.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Licensure: Active CPA license is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 or more years of recent, relevant experience with a specialization in High Net-Worth Individual taxation combined with Estate & Gift, Trust, or Flow-Through Entity taxation.
- Technical Tools: Knowledge of CCH tax software and proficiency with MS Office.
- Leadership: Demonstrated strong leadership and personnel management skills, along with a commitment to providing exceptional client service.
Preferred:
- Previous experience gained at a Big 4 or large Regional Public Accounting Firm.
