Regional Health & Safety Consultant | Trainer

Hybrid, Client-Facing Role based in the Greater Philadelphia Region (including PA and NJ), with occasional travel to other states as required.

We are seeking a highly motivated and professional Safety Consultant | Trainer to join our team full-time in the Lansdale, PA area. This is a client-facing position that involves delivering high-impact safety training, supporting client compliance initiatives, and ensuring best practices in occupational health and safety. The role includes regional travel—primarily within driving distance ("windshield time")—with occasional overnight stays depending on project requirements.

As a key member of our consulting team, you will work independently and collaboratively to deliver technical expertise and regulatory compliance solutions that align with OSHA standards and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging safety training programs including:
  • HAZWOPER 8-hour and 24-hour
  • OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour (General Industry)
  • NFPA 70E Arc Flash
  • Safety Leadership
  • Conduct training in-person, via webinars, or through Learning Management Systems (LMS), including development of site-specific content.
• Assist clients with the development, implementation, and maintenance of core safety programs such as:
  • Emergency Action Plans
  • Lockout/Tagout
  • Hazard Communication
  • PPE
  • Bloodborne Pathogens
• Perform hazard assessments and site inspections; generate written reports with corrective actions and recommendations.
• Coordinate and manage training schedules and consulting engagements in alignment with client proposals.
• Ensure timely completion of internal administrative tasks including time tracking, expense reporting, and documentation.

Experience Required

• 5–10 years of direct experience in the safety profession, with a strong emphasis on training, hazard identification, and program development.
• Proven experience delivering safety training in both classroom and virtual environments.
• Demonstrated ability to assess site-specific hazards and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Strong project and time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
• Customer-focused approach with strong relationship-building capabilities.

Certifications & Credentials

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field (preferred)
• OSHA 501 – Trainer for General Industry (preferred)
• Recognized safety credentials such as CSP, ASP, CHST, or CSHO are highly desirable.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and conduct training or site inspections for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in industrial, construction, or field environments when needed.
• Capable of lifting training materials and equipment (up to 30 lbs).
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel regionally up to 40% of the time, including occasional overnight stays.

Detailed Job Responsibilities

• Design and customize safety training to meet client-specific regulatory requirements and workplace hazards.
• Assist with development and review of client safety manuals, policies, and programs to ensure compliance with OSHA and industry standards.
• Use LMS platforms to develop and administer online training modules and track learner progress.
• Stay current with industry regulations and emerging best practices through ongoing professional development.
• Maintain accurate records of all training activities, reports, and client communications.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert guidance on improving workplace safety culture and reducing risk.
• Represent the organization in a professional and polished manner during all client interactions.
