Olympic Plumbing Technology is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Specialist to assist in managing our financial operations. This role will be crucial in supporting the finance team and streamlining payroll processes, assisting with financial reporting, auditing, and providing general administrative support to various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Support: Assist in managing payroll by ensuring all employee data is accurately recorded and maintained. Work closely with the finance team to assist in payroll-related tasks, including verifying job profit markers and updating pay records.

  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage and track the company’s accounts payable, ensuring invoices are processed on time and accurately. Provide support in financial transactions and assist with reconciling vendor statements.

  • Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing regular financial reports and audits to ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations. Help streamline processes to ensure reporting is accurate and timely.

  • Filing and Record-Keeping: Organize and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring all documents are easily accessible and up to date. Assist in maintaining electronic filing systems and physical records.

  • HR Support: Provide administrative support in HR, particularly with employee documentation and inquiries. Ensure that employee files are compliant with internal policies and regulations.

  • Process Improvement: Work closely with the finance team to identify and implement improvements in financial processes, helping automate and streamline tasks where possible.

  • Cross-Department Support: Assist other departments with financial inquiries and requests, providing timely support to ensure smooth company operations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a finance or administrative support role, preferably in payroll or accounts payable.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Netchex).

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with payroll software or HR systems.

  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and payroll regulations.

Work Environment:

  • Full-time position, with the possibility of remote work or flexible hours depending on company needs.

Compensation:

  • $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
