Job Title: Assembly Technician – Pediatric Wheelchairs & Mobility Devices
Location: Torrance, CA
Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay: $17.88/hr
About the Role:
We are seeking skilled Assembly Technicians to join our production team. This is a hands-on manufacturing role focused on assembling pediatric wheelchairs, mobility devices, and related equipment. You will work directly with components and subassemblies, ensuring every product meets quality and safety standards. This is not an office role—we are looking for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy building, problem-solving, and contributing to high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble pediatric wheelchairs, scooters, and mobility devices according to detailed blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
- Perform quality checks at every stage of assembly to ensure compliance with safety and product specifications.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic assembly machinery safely and effectively.
- Package and prepare finished products for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and protection.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and suggest improvements to assembly processes.
Requirements:
- Hands-on assembly or manufacturing experience required (medical devices, mobility equipment, furniture, or mechanical products preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, or technical diagrams.
- Proficient with hand tools and basic power tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with pediatric wheelchairs, mobility devices, or medical equipment assembly.
- Knowledge of safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
