Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract position seeks a Special Education Teacher to support students in grades K-12 in Washington, PA, starting January 2026 through June 2026. The role involves working 5 days per week, 30 to 37.5 hours weekly, with a focus on self-contained classrooms, resource rooms, and special day classrooms.
Key Qualifications:
- Active State License in Special Education required
- Experience working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Ability to manage diverse caseloads and tailor instruction to individual needs
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide specialized instruction and support within self-contained, resource, and special day classrooms
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to promote student success
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
