Job DescriptionHuman Resources Generalist
Direct Hire | $30–33/hour
We are seeking a bilingual Human Resources Generalist to support daily HR operations in a fast-paced environment. This role will be responsible for recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, training coordination, and general office administration. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, professional, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, onboard, and support hiring efforts for open positions
- Partner with managers to understand staffing needs, schedules, and required skill sets
- Administer HR functions including:
- Payroll
- Benefits
- FMLA and leave administration
- Employee relations
- Performance management
- Training and development
- Investigations and disciplinary actions
- Exit interviews
- Coordinate quarterly and annual employee performance reviews
- Promote and enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Manage workers’ compensation claims, documentation, and follow-up communication
- Maintain employee safety training records and training matrix
- Coordinate employee Hepatitis B vaccinations and documentation
- Maintain personnel files, HR records, and I-9 compliance
- Assist with HR policy and procedure development and implementation
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Update and maintain HR forms and HRIS systems
- Support front desk responsibilities including answering phones and greeting visitors
- Order office and production supplies as needed
- Assist with additional administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- Previous Human Resources experience required
- Strong knowledge of:
- Recruiting and onboarding
- Payroll and benefits administration
- Employee relations
- FMLA and leave management
- Employment law compliance
- HRIS systems
- Experience handling workers’ compensation claims preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word
Preferred Experience
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or fast-paced environments preferred
- Experience supporting safety and compliance initiatives preferred
