\n\nJob Requirements / Qualifications\n

    \n
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT); hospital-based experience preferred\n
  • First-time travel technologists welcome (must meet 2-year experience requirement)\n
  • Valid DC license in hand or pending (Washington, DC licensing)\n
  • Certification: ARRT(N) or NMTCB (CNMT) and current BLS\n
  • Experience with major vendors: GE, Hitachi, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba\n
  • Clinical proficiency: HIDA scan, bone scan, lung scan, thyroid studies\n
  • IV skills: start and maintain peripheral IVs\n
  • Knowledge of radiation safety, isolation precautions, and radioactive material handling\n
  • Strong communication skills and ability to perform under pressure in acute care settings\n
  • Two (2) supervisor references required\n

  • Perform a variety of nuclear medicine procedures including HIDA, bone, lung, and thyroid scans\n
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain advanced imaging equipment (GE, Hitachi, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba)\n
  • Start and manage peripheral IV lines and ensure patient safety during radiopharmaceutical administration\n
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, transport, and disposal of radioactive materials per hospital and regulatory guidelines\n
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols and isolation precautions\n
  • Accurately document procedures, patient data, and dose information using Cerner\n
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care\n
  • Adapt to emergent and high-pressure clinical situations with professionalism\n
