Responsibilities
- Direct, oversee, and provide guidance for financial education and functions, in partnership with the SNF Sr. Team, the Vice Presidents of Operations and the region leadership teams
- Establish a cadence of review of facility financial and operational performance and develop and provide education and guidance to address identified gaps in performance
- Oversees all financial reporting including forecasts of future business growth and general economic outlook
- Partner with home office, region and facility teams to analyze operations and pinpoint opportunities for greater efficiencies and process improvement through established frameworks.
- Coordinate and administer a best practice plan of operations management. This includes profit planning, forecasts, budgeting, labor and expense management, accounts receivable, cost reimbursement, and capital investing, together with the necessary processes and procedures to effectuate the plan.
- Utilize market informatics and economic trends to assess the stability of current assets and project future growth in overall sales and market share, opportunities for acquisitions, or expansion into new product areas. Estimate requirements for capital, land, buildings, and any increase in the work force.
- Measures, monitors, and analyzes financial data and information with the ability to identify key elements of performance through exercises such as trend and variance analysis
- Understands federal and state healthcare reimbursement models including Medicare, Medicaid Case Mix, the MDS process, Managed Care systems, value-based incentive programs, along with a general understanding of State and Federal regulations related to Cost reporting, CON laws, bed management and rate setting
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, with a Master’s degree (MBA) or CPA preferred.
- Prefer experience in a Skilled Nursing (SNF) environment
- Minimum of eight (8) years’ related experience, ideally gained through increasingly responsible management positions within healthcare operations and finance.
- Demonstrate advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, as well as Power BI navigation and utilization.
- Willing to travel up to 40%
