Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers an opportunity to support K-12 students in a dynamic school setting located in Aurora, CO. The contract runs from ASAP through 5/22/26, providing stability as a Paraprofessional within a classroom environment. Candidates will be considered for assignments based on their experience and preferences, with at least one high school position available.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in school classrooms
- Experience supporting students with significant or severe caseloads is strongly preferred
- Ability to assist with toileting and diapering when necessary
- Reliable transportation is required (personal vehicle preferred; public transit or ride-sharing not considered reliable)
- Must be able to consistently report to work by 7:40 AM for elementary or 8:00 AM for middle/high school assignments
- Flexibility to be reassigned to different school sites and student age groups as needed
- Immediate fingerprinting required upon offer acceptance; any felony or misdemeanor convictions will disqualify candidates
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students to enhance educational access and participation
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement individualized learning plans
- Assist students with daily living needs, including toileting and diapering when applicable
- Adapt to varying classroom environments and student needs across different grade levels and school sites
Additional Requirements:
- Candidates must submit 2 completed professional references through the RefAssured system at the time of application; applications without verified references will not be considered
- Candidates current location must be provided alongside the references
