Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Speech/Language Pathologist to provide professional therapy services for students with disabilities at Wingate High School. This position is essential in supporting students’ communication needs and facilitating their academic success. The successful candidate will work directly with students, school personnel, and parents to ensure the effective delivery of services under the supervision of the school's educational team.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide speech and language therapy to students with identified speech and language disorders, based on individualized education programs (IEPs).

Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of students’ speech and language skills.

Develop, implement, and monitor individual therapy plans.

Provide direct therapy services for students as per the assigned schedule.

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure appropriate interventions and accommodations.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and therapy sessions.

Participate in IEP meetings to discuss goals, progress, and any necessary adjustments to therapy plans.

Maintain compliance with school, district, and state guidelines and regulations.
Requirements:

A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Valid state licensure (New Mexico) as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

Experience working in a school setting, preferably with students who have disabilities and IEPs.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Service Schedule:

Base Year: August 1, 2025 - July 31, 2026

Work Schedule: 42 weeks per year, 3 days per week
