Pride Health is hiring a Float Phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility based in Plantation FL 33322. This is a 4 month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Details:

Job Name: Phlebotomist II (Float)

Location: Plantation FL 33322

Duration: 4 months Contract (Possibilities of extension)

Shift: Eastern: Eastern - Monday- Friday 6:00am-4:00pm, Saturday rotation 6:30am-11:30am

Payrate: $22-25/hr. on w2/Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.

Note: Mileage reimbursement from base wok location to float location will be provided 0.70 cents per mile basis.

Job Details:

· The Phlebotomist II- Float draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.

· The Phlebotomist II- Float has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner. The Phlebotomist II- Float is responsible in providing coverage at multiple locations for multiple roles. The Phlebotomist II- Float must ensure that daily activities of the Patient Service Center/Mobile/Long Term Care/In-Office Phlebotomy are completed accurately and on time.

· The Phlebotomist II- Float demonstrates Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.

· Successful applicants may be assigned to work and direct daily activity in a doctor's office, a patient service center, in a house call environment, long term care or as business needs dictate.

· Must be able to step in for a Phlebotomist II- Float and lead one or more PSR on site.

· Will be required to act as a coach, mentor, instructor, resource advisor for new employees and provide effective onboarding services to new clients. They will also act as point of contact to staff on site and provide regular input to the group lead or supervisor.

· The Phlebotomist II- Float may also focus on working with customers who have a high complexity and/or volume practice with a specialized focus requiring outstanding phlebotomy skills. In addition, these practices require a higher level of customer facing skills including verbal and written communications, problem solving, and collaboration with multiple functions, such as: Sales, Laboratory Testing Services, IT connectivity, Billing, and Logistics due to their specialty and or complex test orders.

· The Phlebotomist II- Float must be capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

Job Responsibilities:

· Perform safe, accurate venipuncture and capillary blood draws, including pediatric and geriatric collections

· Conduct clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following established procedures

· Prepare, label, verify, and process specimens for laboratory testing

· Verify patient demographics, initials, and obtain patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm correct labeling

· Clearly explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort, trust, and confidence

· Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards

· Perform daily duties accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor

· Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment

· Demonstrate leadership behaviors, process excellence, and confidentiality of patient information

Job Requirements:

· Ability to provide high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment

Education:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

· Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).

Work Experience:

· 3-5 years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.

· 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.

· Customer service in a retail or service environment highly preferred.

· Keyboard/data entry experience.
