Position Summary
The Operations Manager is a pivotal role at Christ Community Church (C3), responsible for managing the day-to-day operational functions of the church. This role ensures the efficient and effective management of our financial, facilities, and office administration ministry areas. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented leader with a heart for service, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to C3's vision and values.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management:
- Manage daily financial operations, including income, journal entries, accounts payable and bank reconciliations.
- Work with the leadership team to prepare and manage the annual budget.
- Generate and analyze financial reports to provide regular updates to church leadership and the finance committee.
- Ensure compliance with all financial policies and procedures, including preparing for audits.
- Prepare monthly financial reports.
- Manage payroll and benefits administration.
2. Facilities Management:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance plan for all church facilities and grounds.
- Manage capital projects, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts for cleaning, maintenance, and repair services.
- Ensure the campus is safe, secure, and well-maintained for all services and events.
3. Office & Administrative Management:
- Supervise and support administrative staff and volunteers.
- Manage all general office procedures, including communications, correspondence, and record-keeping.
- Maintain and update church calendar and printed materials (letterhead, envelopes, etc)
- Assist in maintaining the church database.
- Ensure proper maintenance of all equipment and computer systems
- Manage church-wide calendars and scheduling for events and facility use.
- Assist in the coordination and planning of large-scale church events and meetings.
- Assist Executive Director and Senior Pastor with projects as needed
Qualifications & Requirements
- A committed follower of Jesus Christ
- Proven experience in operations management, business administration, or a related field.
- Strong financial literacy with a solid understanding of accounting principles and budgeting.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in modern office software and QuickBooks Online.
- Experience in a non-profit or church environment is highly desirable.
