Position: Turf and Landscape Foreman
Department: Turf and Landscape
Status: Full Time, Non-exempt
Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm with snow removal starting as early as 3:00AM
Days: Monday through Friday (With on-call weekends during winter for Snow Removal)
Location: Northeast Wisconsin, based out of Appleton
Wage: $20-30/hour, based on experience

Pfefferle Management is the largest commercial property management provider in Wisconsin. The key to our success has been our team of field staff, made up of knowledgeable, customer service-orientated professionals. We self-perform most of our building services, including maintenance, landscaping, janitorial, and HVAC services.
Position Summary:
The Turf & Landscape Foreman leads a team of technicians, guiding there work, performing quality assurance and collaborating with the department managers. This is a year-round position. We do not layoff in winter months.
Responsibilities:
Work alternate schedule as needed when snow falls, starting as early as 3:00 AM.
Mow lawns using a wide variety of equipment to deliver a professional appearance.
Clean up debris throughout the entire property
Using a string trimmer properly to edge around beds, trees, walkways, buildings, and other structures that may be on the property
Using leaf blowers to make sure we leave walking paths and patios clear of any debris
Collaborate with team members during Spring and Fall clean-ups, and snow removal during winter months
Participate in all types of landscape maintenance tasks: mowing, trimming, fertilization, dethatching, spring and fall cleanups
Participate in all types of snow removal tasks: operating equipment, snow blowing, shoveling, and de-icing.
Conduct daily inspections on equipment for preventative maintenance
Work at a pace that produces efficiency, without sacrificing quality
Answer basic questions from the crew Address issues with staff, take note of when more training is needed and communicate with the manager
Keep crews on pace to achieve weekly goals and daily checklists
Look for other opportunities at our current accounts while on site (mulch, stone, tree trimming, dead plants, etc) and communicate with manager
Enforcing company safety procedures
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
3 years of mowing, landscape maintenance, fall clean ups, and snow removal experience
Valid Driver's license
Time management skills: keeping yourself and others on track throughout the day
Ability to learn and lead in our sign making process, including inventory on lumber, bolts, washers, sand bags
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Technical Requirements:
Competence in using a smartphone or data-enabled device for communicating and reporting
Must be able to text & use email.
Working knowledge of landscaping equipment and power tools.
Ability to safely operate a truck and trailer
Ability to obtain or already possess turf and landscape 3.0 certification and structural pest 7.1 certification
General equipment maintenance knowledge (sharpening blades, greasing mower, making mixed fuel, etc).
Small engine trouble shooting/maintenance experience is a plus, but not required
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
Capable of performing repetitive tasks such as lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending to carry out landscape services at a proficient level.
Stamina to walk long distances while carrying or operating equipment throughout the day.
Comfortable using a ladder.
Flexibility to bend, squat, kneel, stand and walk to carry out various landscaping tasks.
Physical endurance to carry out tasks that are labor intense, while ensuring quality results
Capable of working in diverse weather conditions.
Ability to operate riding equipment, push mowers, blowers, trimmers, and hand tools.
Stability to work on uneven terrain while maintaining safety protocol.
