An opportunity exists for a skilled SLI to support students in an engaging K-12 educational environment located in Aurora, CO. This role is essential in facilitating communication and enhancing the learning experiences of students who are deaf or hard of hearing through one-on-one interpretation.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a SLI (e.g., NIC, RID).
- Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL).
- Previous experience working in educational settings, particularly with K-12 students.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Knowledge of educational policies and practices related to students with disabilities.
Location:

Responsibilities:
- Provide expert sign language interpretation for a designated student, ensuring effective communication in the classroom.
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and the students family to create a supportive learning environment.
- Attend IEP meetings and participate in relevant training and professional development.
- Adapt interpretation methods to meet the individual needs of the student and educational contexts.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all legal and ethical standards regarding student information.
