Job Posting: Logistics Coordinator
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Contract Duration: 12 months (rolling contract)
Salary: $20−24 per hour
Openings: 5 Positions
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Coordinator to manage logistics documentation for spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and manuals. In this role, you will be responsible for routing, documenting, and coordinating shipping logistics while ensuring compliance with state, federal, and global regulations. You will track logistics materials and parts for proper storage allocation and maintain records of equipment, components, repair parts, and related manuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage logistics documentation for necessary materials and equipment.
- Coordinate shipping activities in compliance with import/export requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and logistics materials.
- Ensure proper allocation and storage of spare parts and equipment.
Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements:
- Frequently walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs.
- Perform repetitive hand and arm motions and demonstrate fine motor skills.
- Vision abilities required include close, distance, depth perception, and color differentiation.
- Occasionally lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Some exposure to outdoor elements and loud noises.
Safety Sensitive Position: This position is responsible for the safety and security of people and property, handling hazardous materials, and performing aviation-related duties.
Qualifications:
Must-Haves:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience. (A higher degree may substitute for experience).
- Basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Understanding of inventory and supply chain/logistics principles and techniques.
- Experience with inventory databases.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems.
- HazMat Training/Certification.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Experience with shipping databases (FedEx, DHL, UPS).
- Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Background in Aerospace and Defense or associated with the US Department of Defense or US Military.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of a hearing exam, eye exam, and DOT physical may be required.
- Must be clearance eligible; can start without clearance, but interim clearance may be obtained within 3-4 weeks.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, onsite during standard hours.
