Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the Elementary School level, focusing on early childhood special education services. This contract runs from January 5 to April 24, 2026, and is based onsite in Longmont, CO.
Responsibilities include managing both AM and PM preschool classrooms, each with 18 students. The role requires effective lesson planning and handling Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for approximately 9 to 11 students receiving Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) services. The position demands collaboration with educators and families to support student development and ensure compliance with Colorado education standards.
Desired qualifications and experience include:
- Current ECSE Colorado teaching license
- Spanish/English bilingual proficiency
- Minimum of 2 years classroom teaching experience in special education
- Familiarity with Colorado IEP forms and procedures
- Strong organizational and case management skills
