Job DescriptionDental Patient Registration & Scheduling Coordinator

Pay Rate: $21.50/hour

Location: On‑site, St. Louis, MO

Schedule: Full‑time | On‑site

Position Overview

The Dental Patient Registration & Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for managing the patient intake and registration process for dental services in a busy clinical environment. This role serves as an important liaison between dental students and patients, ensuring appointments are scheduled accurately, documentation is complete, and payments are collected in accordance with established guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Register patients for dental services by collecting and verifying demographic, insurance, and billing information
  • Accept referrals and schedule dental appointments accurately and efficiently
  • Verify dental procedure codes and confirm scheduled appointments
  • Determine appropriate patient fees and collect payments using credit card processing systems
  • Prepare and reconcile daily bank deposits
  • Serve as a point of contact between dental students and patients to support a positive clinic experience
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records using Microsoft Office and clinic systems
  • Review documentation for accuracy and compliance with reimbursement and clinic requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting or related field
    • Dental experience strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, email; basic Excel preferred)
  • Strong computer skills and comfort working with scheduling and registration systems
  • Knowledge of third‑party reimbursement processes
  • Ability to accurately register and interview patients
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret documentation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service, organizational, and basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to use a 10‑key calculator and credit card processing equipment
  • Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and reliability in a fast‑paced environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
