Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Bring your passion and expertise in special education to a rewarding opportunity supporting students in a Life Skills classroom for K-3 grades. This full-time, in-person assignment spans the 2026-2027 school year, where you'll collaborate with a dedicated team to foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment for students with diverse needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Utah Special Education teaching license or certification required
- Classroom teaching experience with K-3 students, especially in a Life Skills or similar special education setting, highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet varied learning abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction in a Life Skills classroom for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Create and maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment for young learners
- Develop and implement IEPs, collect data, and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with related service providers and general education staff to support student inclusion and emotional growth
- Foster strong relationships with families to support students’ academic and social achievement
- Maintain accurate records and compliance with federal and state special education regulations
