Schedule & Assignment

  • 13-week assignment starting 5/4 or 5/18
  • 12-hour day shifts (6:30 am – 7 pm)
  • Guaranteed 36 hours per week (except holiday weeks/closed units)
  • Bi-weekly orientation; flexibility to float to nearby campuses as needed
  • Weekend coverage: 3 weekends per 6-week schedule; every other holiday

Qualifications

  • Active compact RN license
  • AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS required (must be current)
  • Minimum 2 recent years’ Stepdown experience + 1 prior travel contract OR 5 years in Stepdown if no travel contract
  • Recent EPIC charting experience
  • Proficient with Telemetry/12-lead EKG interpretation (must pass Tele tests)
  • Expertise in post cardiac procedure care, neuro assessments, critical care drips, and sepsis management
  • Strong skills in assessment, critical thinking, and precepting

Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalized care to post-cardiac and neuro patients (e.g., STEMI/NSTEMI, cath/stent, ablation, CVAs, DKA)
  • Initiate/titrate cardiac and neuro medication drips
  • Perform advanced neuro assessments and interventions
  • Float within hospital system based on patient care needs
