Job DescriptionSalary:
We are a fast-paced, multi-specialty dental practice committed to delivering excellent patient care in a professional and friendly environment. We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Dental Assistant to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures including exams, fillings, crowns, extractions, root canals, and surgical procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays).
- Record patients' medical history and vital signs.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures.
- Maintain dental supply inventory and order materials as needed.
- Perform laboratory tasks such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns.
- Comply with OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a certified dental assistant program preferred.
- X-ray certification (if required by state).
- CPR certification.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude with excellent patient care focus.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
