Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school in Lees Summit, MO, to provide dedicated support for students with diverse learning needs during the current school year contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique abilities and challenges
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to create inclusive learning environments
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to facilitate student growth and engagement
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary
- Maintain pliance with state and federal special education regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education settings
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and behavior management techniques
- Excellent munication and collaboration skills

Duration: Current School Year contract
