A leading educational institution in Andover, MN, is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support the mental health and academic success of its student population. This contract position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative school environment focused on delivering quality educational services and promoting student well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students academic, social, and emotional needs.
- Provide counseling and intervention strategies to support students mental health.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to school-wide mental health initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with confidentiality regulations.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure in the state of Minnesota.
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and providing direct student services.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, families, and school staff.
- Knowledge of special education laws, procedures, and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
