Job Title: Nurse Practitioner – Family Practice
Location: 56th Medical Group, 7219 North Litchfield Road, building 1130, Luke AFB, AZ 85309
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM; 8Hrs Shift, not to exceed 40 hrs/week; max 20 overtime hrs/year

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program (ACEN or CCNE). Family Practice NP program strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years within the last 3 years in family practice or primary care.
  • License/Certification:
    • Current, full, active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license.
    • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (ANCC, AANP, or equivalent).
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive primary care across the lifespan including acute, chronic, and preventive services.
  • Diagnose and manage illnesses, order diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and refer to specialists as appropriate.
  • Provide health education, counseling, and preventive care (e.g., immunizations, screenings).
  • Maintain accurate medical records and comply with MTF and DoD documentation standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to deliver coordinated care.
  • Participate in staff training, clinical case reviews, and quality improvement programs.
