Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This role is ideal for an experienced registered nurse skilled in perioperative care within a critical access hospital setting. The position requires versatility across multiple specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, podiatry, OB-GYN, pain management, urology, and endoscopy. Candidates should be proficient in circulating, scrubbing, and providing phase 1 recovery care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient- and family-centered care throughout the perioperative period.
- Perform circulating and scrubbing duties during surgical procedures.
- Provide phase 1 recovery support in the PACU as needed.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with the entire perioperative team.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold the mission, vision, and values of the healthcare organization.
- Respond to on-call shifts with a 45-minute arrival time requirement.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensed to practice.
- Experience in a critical access hospitals operating room setting.
- Skilled in general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, podiatry, OB-GYN, pain management, urology, and endoscopy procedures.
- Ability to scrub, circulate, and care for patients in PACU phase 1.
- Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset.
- CNOR certification preferred.
Schedule/Hours:
- On-call shifts required with a 45-minute response time.
