Summary of Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled Residential Construction Estimator to own the pre-construction process for our high-end residential projects. You will be responsible for producing accurate estimates, managing subcontractor bids, and processing change orders. This is a foundational role with a clear path to leadership as we grow.
Essential Functions
- Create detailed project estimates and scopes of work.
- Send requests for quotes to subcontractors and suppliers.
- Lead on-site job walks with subcontractors and team members.
- Review and compare subcontractor quotes for accuracy.
- Process and manage change orders during construction.
- Drive gross profit and minimize "slippage" through strategic and accurate quotations.
- Onboard and set up new trade partners.
- Work with Project Managers, Architects, Designers during the pre-construction phase.
- Use Bluebeam and Square Takeoff for quantity takeoffs and pricing.
- Other duties as needed to support company growth and project success
Education, Experience, and Skills Required
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in high-end residential construction estimation.
- Proficiency with estimating software, specifically Bluebeam and Square Takeoff, Co-construct.
- A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture as a plus.
- Physical ability to conduct site visits, including crawling under houses and into attics.
Compensation
- $100,000-115,000 DOE + bonus opportunities
