Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a full-time Special Education Teacher position serving a middle school caseload in Hanover, NH. The contract runs from ASAP through June 2026 for the 2025/2026 school year. This role involves supporting students with autism and other behavioral needs, requiring specialized experience in behavior management and intervention strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students with special needs, particularly those on the autism spectrum
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to middle school students, adapting methods to meet diverse learning styles and behavioral challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Monitor student progress, behavior, and social development, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure academic and emotional growth
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all state and district special education regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with middle school students in a special education setting
- Proven expertise in behavior management with a focus on autism spectrum disorder
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Location: Hanover, NH
Schedule: Full-time, 32-37.5 hours per week
