Manufacturing Controller

Position Overview
The Manufacturing Controller plays a vital role in overseeing and improving the financial performance of the manufacturing operations. This position involves managing financial processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and providing strategic insight to support business objectives. The Manufacturing Controller will collaborate with various departments to enhance cost efficiency and profitability while ensuring accurate reporting and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the financial operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Conduct financial analysis and variance analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insights to management.
  • Lead budget preparation and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with manufacturing goals and objectives.
  • Manage cost accounting processes, including inventory valuation, cost analysis, and expense control.
  • Coordinate audit activities and ensure that financial records are accurate and comply with internal and external requirements.
  • Implement and maintain ERP systems to streamline financial reporting and improve data accuracy.
  • Drive strategic planning initiatives, focusing on risk management and long-term financial sustainability.
  • Provide leadership and support to the accounting team, fostering professional development and ensuring high performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis, cost accounting, and budgeting processes.
  • Proficiency in GAAP and compliance regulations relevant to manufacturing.
  • Experience with ERP systems and inventory management tools.
  • Demonstrated skills in variance analysis and audit coordination.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities, with experience in team management and development.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
