Job DescriptionPosition Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting payroll, invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, and compliance-related financial processes across the organization. This position will also assist in the financial administration of the companys sub-entities and contribute to audit preparations and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support with payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate compensation for employees.
  • Assist in the preparation and issuance of invoices, as well as processing payments in accordance with company policies.
  • Coordinate billing and invoicing related to employee health insurance, ensuring accuracy and compliance with benefit providers.
  • Support the management of accounts receivable and accounts payable, including tracking outstanding balances and processing vendor payments.
  • Assist with financial and administrative functions related to the companys sub-entities, ensuring consistent practices across all divisions.
  • Prepare and organize supporting documentation for internal and external audits, maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with the CFO and other members of the accounting team on special projects and ad hoc financial tasks as assigned.
  • Assist with the preparation and documentation required for workers compensation audits, 401(k) audits, and other financial reviews.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support the preparation and filing of health-related tax forms and compliance documents in accordance with federal and state regulations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in an accounting or finance-related role preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Experience with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, and invoicing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, computerease, or similar).
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting multiple entities or divisions within an organization perferred.
  • Familiarity with audit processes and regulatory filings (e.g., 401(k), workers' compensation, health-related tax forms).
  • Knowledge of benefits administration and healthcare-related billing.
