Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill an Electrical Engineer job in Newington, NH for our direct client. In this role, you will be responsible for plant electrical engineering across facilities, overseeing power distribution, lockout-tagout programs, data acquisition systems, and the electrical components of production lines and standalone equipment. The ideal candidate is experienced in automation, PLC programming, and electrical systems design in a manufacturing environment.
Electrical Engineer Job Responsibilities:
- Program and troubleshoot AC/DC drive systems, PLCs, and HMI systems
- Perform routine electrical design, instrumentation, and control upgrades
- Maintain and archive PLC programs for production lines within network drives
- Set up and manage machine data acquisition systems and logging software for key production lines
- Maintain electrical and mechanical lockout/tagout procedures in compliance with OSHA
- Diagnose electrical failures and implement improvements for uptime and efficiency
- Maintain Liburdi WinTube welding systems and other specialized electrical equipment
- Create and update electrical plans, schematics, and plant documentation using AutoCAD
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards including NEC, OSHA, NFPA, and UL
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and IT teams to improve quality and productivity
- Support LEAN Manufacturing initiatives and participate actively in TPM and 5S-related activities
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience in electrical systems engineering within an industrial manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in PLC programming, AC/DC drives, and HMI systems
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and electrical schematic design
- Familiarity with data acquisition systems and scripting for data capture and reporting
- Understanding of safety and compliance standards including OSHA, NEC, NFPA, and related
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues in production environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams
