Pilot Plant Production Associate
Job Description
Join our team as a Pilot Plant Production Associate, where you will serve as a manufacturing helper in a dynamic environment focused on producing high-quality dog and cat food and treats. This role involves maintaining a clean room environment with extensive cleaning and sanitizing duties, assisting advanced operators, and handling various raw materials.
Responsibilities
- Assist advanced level compounder operators with daily operations.
- Mix cleaning solutions and sanitize machines between production runs.
- Handle and process raw materials such as whey, protein, corn, flour, liver, chicken, and beef scrap.
- Weigh and record sample data accurately.
- Manage inbound materials in the Dry Ingredients area and record data using a computer.
- Transport samples between the production area and Analytical Lab.
- Receive forklift training to move incoming pallets.
Essential Skills
- Experience in production and manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in mixing and blending operations.
- Familiarity with sanitation protocols in a manufacturing setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Basic experience in manufacturing and/or sanitation.
- Experience with machine operation and quality control processes.
Work Environment
The facility maintains a clean manufacturing environment, with extensive cleaning and sanitizing of floors, equipment, and walls required. The strong smell of dog food is prevalent during production runs. Occasionally, work in a freezer will be necessary to handle raw animal products, with jackets and warm gear provided for comfort.

This is a Contract position based out of Thompson's Station, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
