Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our safety protocols within the construction environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational health standards, implementing effective risk management strategies, and fostering a culture of safety across all construction sites. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees while adhering to industry regulations.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections on construction sites to identify hazards and ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Environmental Safety (EHS) standards.
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety practices into construction management processes.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Manage workers' compensation claims and coordinate return-to-work programs for injured employees.
- Analyze incident reports to identify trends and develop strategies for risk management.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations such as the National Electrical Code (NEC) that may impact safety practices.
- Utilize construction management software to track safety performance metrics and ensure compliance management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong understanding of construction site operations.
- Knowledge of EHS regulations, compliance management, and workers' compensation processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey safety information to diverse teams.
- Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH) is a plus.
- Proficiency in using construction management software for tracking safety-related data.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,045.00 - $84,845.00 per year
